Diwali is the most celebrated festival in India. Friends and families gather together and enjoy this auspicious festival. This is the festival of lights and confectionaries. Generally, we invite people with text messages or phone calls. But an invitation letter bears a deeper sense of willingness. Here are some sample letters inviting friends and cousins to celebrate Diwali with us in our home. Please check the sample letters and learn more about letter writing.

Letter to a friend inviting him/her for Diwali Vacation

Dear Divya,

I hope you are alright. It has been a month since I received your last letter. Our Diwali vacation falls on the 28th of this month like yours. As we do every year, we are planning to spend part of our vacation in our ancestral house in Ludhiana. It has been an amazing experience to pass the time in Ludhiana. My grandmother lives there. We have some farming land there. Our other relatives and our cousins live there. It is so enjoyable there. Everywhere there is greenery and lots of fields to play in. I with my cousins, enjoy so much there. We play hide and seek in the fields, run across the crops, catch fish, run after the hends. My grandmother cooks fresh chicken eggs. It is so yummy. But it is not the last. The ladoo, she makes, is mouth-watering.

Have you any plans for the Diwali vacation? If not, I request you to join me in our ancestral house. It would be so much fun there. If you agree, my father will call your father for formal permission. I am waiting for your reply.

Yours ever,

Amrita

Write a letter to your friend inviting him/her to spend the Diwali vacation with you

Dear Krishna,

I hope you are doing well. What is your plan for the upcoming Diwali Vacation? We are planning to stay on vacation in our house this year. If you haven't planned anything, let's spend the vacation with us in our home.

You know that Diwali is our greatest festival. We decorate our house with diyas and with candles. This year we bought so many LED chain bulbs. We have to hang them around our house.

You know my grandmother. She is a confectionery specialist. She makes a variety of confectionery in the Diwali. My mother makes special dishes in this occasion.
There is a playground in front of our house. We play there. This year, our society has arranged a cultural programme in the Diwali. I want to stage a play with you if you agree.
So dear Krishna, please accept my invitation. We can enjoy the whole Diwali festival and can make it a memorable one. I am eagerly waiting for your answer.

Your loving friend,

Siddharth
